RULES GOVERNING PERSONNEL THAT WILL ACT AS ONE OF THE FOLLOWING Crane User, Site Supervisor AND OR Lift Director WILL HAVE MANY DEFINED DUTIES UNDER THE PROPOSED RULE 1926.1400 SAID TO BE ENACTED IN 2009. THOSE DUTIES ARE IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE RIGGING EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS, SIGNAL PERSON AND SOME ELEMENTS OF CRANE OPERATION. Crane User : Arranges the crane’s presence on a worksite and controls its use there. An entity that is responsible to provide supervisory, operational, maintenance, support personnel, and service. Site Supervisor: Exercises supervisory control over the work site on which a crane is being used and over the work that is being performed on that site. A person responsible for job coordination as well everything else from crane condition to soil condition. Lift Director: Directly oversees the work being performed by a crane and the associated rigging crew. A person on site during all lifts and responsible for every lift.
